This concert ticket covers only a portion of the costs of this program, but it is incredibly important to Kantorei to remove as many traditional barriers to live music as possible.

Remembering our loved ones, creating ofrendas to their memories, and singing about the joy they poured into our lives: Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos celebration takes center stage at Foss Hall on the campus of Augsburg University.
Bring your own family photos of the dearly departed to add to our rich ofrendas, curated by Julica Hermann de la Fuente; and enjoy spirited (and sometimes spooky!) music for the season.
Program includes “Dies Irae” (Hyun Kook); Mexican Baroque samples from Antonio de Salazar and Tomas de Pascual; stirring Mexican folk favorites “La Llorona” and “La Matiriana;” compositions by Ivo Antognini, György Orbán, and Antonio Estevez.
