Kantorei Featured in Documentary
Kantorei is featured in Never Stop Singing, a new public TV special premiering on TPT Sunday, June 7, 2009, at 8 pm and repeated on various other dates. The program will be broadcast statewide on tptMN, channel 2.2 in the Twin Cities (check local listings in other areas). Minnesota is renowned for its outstanding choral music, but what inspires this intense love of singing? Noted musicians Dominick Argento, Anton Armstrong, Philip Brunelle, David Cherwien, René Clausen, Peter Hendrickson, Maria Jette, Stephen Paulus, Robert Robinson, Kathy Saltzman Romey, Dale Warland and others share their passion for the choral art, along with performance excerpts featuring several Minnesota choirs, including Kantorei.

Kantorei Participates in 500-Singer Concert, Everybody Sing!
On May 3, Kantorei participated in the VocalEssence 40th Anniversary concert at Orchestra Hall. Kantorei and the other participating groups each performed a work premiered or commissioned by VocalEssence over its 40-year history. Then, over 500 voices joined together for the world premiere of a work composed for this occasion by Dominick Argento.
The Everybody Sing! concert received rave reviews from the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press, and the collaboration was featured on the blog 3minuteegg.org.
